Someday, you’ll meet someone who lives differently than you do.

It’s because it’s the only way he knows to survive the insanity.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who doesn’t say how he feels.

It’s because some emotions aren’t easily expressed in words.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who doesn’t forgive easily.

It’s because he used to forgive easily and was wronged consistently.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who won’t try to convince you to stay.

It’s because he’s tried that multiple times before and failed, always.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who is reluctant to open up.

It’s because he’s opened up truly before and repented it greatly.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who prefers to be alone.

It’s because solitude was there for him when nobody was.

Someday, you’ll meet someone who doesn’t love easy.

It’s because he’s given a lot of love and hasn’t received much in return.

Someday, you’ll meet someone whose words contain ‘them’ more than ‘you’.

It’s because he’s afraid you’ll become one of ‘them’.

That’s the problem.

He is taken.

They haven’t accepted him.

But they haven’t given him back either.
